Amir receives report on Kuwait Expo, meets new National Fund members
Amir offers condolences to Bahraini King, Guatemalan President
KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah received at Seif Palace yesterday Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan who gave His Highness a briefing on Kuwait Expo 2018 which was held on the 6th to 10th of Feb 2018.
Roudhan, who is also Chairman of the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Development, also introduced to His Highness the Amir members of the fund on the occasion of formation of the new board. The meetings were attended by Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Al-Jarah Al-Sabah.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry organized the Kuwait Expo 2018 under the patronage of His Highness the Amir, featuring several different exhibitions such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Commercial Exhibition and knowledge based small and medium enterprises (SME’s) and world manufacturers exhibition. Some 140 companies from 30 different countries participated in Kuwait’s Expo 2018. The opening ceremony was attended by four Ministers of Commerce and Industry from Kuwait and different countries and 45,000 visitors.
Roudhan also introduced the new members of the National Fund to His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. He also presented a report on Kuwait Expo 2018 to him. In other news, His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah met separately with His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at Seif Palace yesterday. Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir sent a cable of condolences to Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Issa bin Salman Al-Khalifa over the passing of head of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Khaled Bin Ali Al-Khalifa, asking Almighty Allah to bestow his mercy upon his soul. His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister sent similar cables to the Bahraini King. In the meantime, His Highness the Amir sent a cable of condolences to Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales on the victims of Fuego volcano eruption.
