Turkish Airlines celebrates Ramadan with local partners
KUWAIT: The Kuwait Office of Turkish Airlines, Europe’s best airline for the sixth year in a row, recently hosted its annual Ramadan ghabqa with local dignitaries, civil aviation senior officials, travel agencies, employees, media partners and corporate customers at Arraya Ballroom, Marriot in Kuwait City.
The celebratory event was attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Kuwait Ayse Hilal Sayan Koytak who were all immersed in the authentic Turkish hospitality and music by Turkish artists namely Tahir Cagman and Veysel Celikdemir including an exquisite sand drawing performance that narrated the story of Islamic culture with Turkish heritage.

The Holy Month of Ramadan is a true testament to the deep cultural and religious ties between Turkey and Kuwait. During the ghabqa, Aydogan gave an expose of the noteworthy Ramadan activities that the Turkish Airlines Kuwait Office carries out in vulnerable communities around the world. As a responsible partner who contributes to the Kuwaiti society, Turkish Airlines Kuwait office successfully partnered with the International Islamic Charity Organization and Abdullah Ali Abdul-Wahhab Al-Muttawah Charity Foundation to distribute 44,000 iftar meals to people in countries like Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Abhkazia, Myanmar (Rakhine), Palestine and Afghanistan through schools, orphanages, and mosques. In the spirit of Ramadan, Turkish Airlines management also visited Kuwait’s Elderly Home in the Ministry of Social Affairs contributing valuable gift baskets to the elderly community. Additionally, Turkish Airlines visited the orphans at the Ministry of Social Affairs and shared in the joy of the season by gifting them sweets.
