Ahli United Bank celebrates girgian with children
In continuation of its social program for the Holy Month of Ramadan, Ahli United Bank (AUB) organized visits of staff to Amiri Hospital, Mubarak Hospital and the AlKharafi Activity Center for children with special needs to share the joy of girgian with the children in commemoration of this traditional event, and as a part of the Bank’s continued annual participation in charitable, humanitarian, social and cultural initiatives.
Through these visits, made in conjunction with LOYAC volunteers, the Bank was keen to reach out to the children in the hospitals and in the Activity Center and surprise them with gifts and girgian enjoyments. This was done so as to spread the spirit of sharing and giving, which is encouraged in Islam and considered to be one of the most important features of Kuwaiti society.
On this occasion, Sahar Dashti, AUB’s Deputy General Manager responsible for the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program said, “We were very happy to visit the children and share the joy of girgian with them bringing smiles to their faces.
Dashti also noted, “The initiatives reaffirm AUB’s commitment to continuously communicate with various social and humanitarian organizations across Kuwait, seeking to strengthen philanthropic ties between the Bank and the wider society - a key driver that was apparent during the Bank staff visit to children while distributing girgian.
