New Nestle Fitness recipe further supports women’s nutritional needs
Nestle Middle East is raising Whole Grain content to over 50 percent while adding nutritious oats and more B-vitamins to its popular Nestle FITNESS Cereal, to support women’s specific nutritional needs and help them to #keepgoing.
The new recipe also involves a further 9 percent reduction in sugar, coming three years after the launch of another reformulation that already reduced sugar by up to 30 percent without adding artificial sweeteners, all while maintaining great taste and fortification with iron, calcium and folate, among other micronutrients for a nutritious start to the day.
“This nutrition revolution started with our kids’ cereal recipes launched in 2012 and continues with perpetual efforts to further reduce sugar in all our products and address evolving nutritional recommendations and consumer tastes,” said Olivier Degiorgis, Head of Nestle Breakfast Cereals Business in the Middle East.
The move is in line with Nestle commitments to society to “Help reduce the risk of undernutrition through micronutrient fortification,” further “Reduce salt, sugar, and saturated fats in our products,” and “Increase vegetables, fibrerich grains, pulses, nuts and seeds in our products.” The new products are available in Chocolate, Honey and Almond, Fruits, or Original Cereal variants.
