KFH successfully concludes ‘Increase Good Deeds in Ramadan 4’ program
Bank received praise and recognition for successful Ramadan program
KUWAIT: Kuwait Finance House (KFH) has successfully concluded its comprehensive Ramadan program titled ‘Increase Good Deeds in Ramadan 4’. The program included various social and humanitarian events and activities stemming from the bank’s endeavors to solidify its commitment towards the society, while supporting all social and voluntary work initiatives.
Executive Manager Group Public Relations and Media at KFH, Yousef Abdullah Al-Ruwaieh said that ‘Increase Good Deeds in Ramadan 4’ program aims at strengthening KFH’s social role, while reinforcing ties with various segments of society, indicating the program was full of activities, events, visits and voluntary work that affirmed the pioneering role in assuming the social responsibility. He added that KFH will continue its efforts to support all activities of interest to the society in line with the bank’s strategy and social responsibility message, especially in the Holy month of Ramadan.
He explained that KFH program in Ramadan encompassed a plethora of activities for all social segments, indicating KFH distributed over 27,000 iftar meals at 5 locations in different governorates. The bank participated in agreement with Nahtam voluntary team in ‘Ramadan Aman’ campaign to distribute 100,000 meals.
KFH organized iftar feasts to workers on duties during iftar time in recognition of their efforts and responsibilities. KFH signed a cooperation agreement with ‘Agrivage’; a startup business created by a group of Kuwaiti students, with the purpose of preserving the environment by recycling food waste and converting it into usable rich soil. The Bank collaborated with the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs. This comes as part of KFH social responsibility and commitment towards the youth initiatives and the environment. ‘Agrivage’ initiative is considered as highly important especially in the holy month of Ramadan. KFH support to ‘Agrivage’ and the signing of the cooperation agreement as the first institution in the private sector confirms the great interest KFH attaches in the activities of interest to the environment in collaboration with the concerned parties.
KFH voluntary team worked tirelessly at different locations to meet the public directly. It conducted over 90 initiatives in 29 days. KFH distributed Ramadan gifts and confectionaries (girgian) at Discovery Mall, The Kuwait Society for the Handicapped, Kuwait Down Syndrome Society and Dasman Diabetes Institute. KFH organized a number of visits to health centers, hospitals and nursing homes to congratulate patients on the Holy month of Ramadan while distributing gifts. The bank held ghabga events for its staff and for the journalists and so many other events.
Ruwaieh concluded that KFH voluntary team provided voluntary services to the public and assisted civil defense and security men and distributing food and beverages to worshipers. KFH received praise and recognition for its efforts in organizing Al-Qiyam prayer and providing hospitality service to worshippers and the personnel in three mosques; the state’s Grand Mosque, Saad Bin Abi Waqqas mosque and Alrashed mosque.
