Official assures youth of Amir’s support

CAIRO: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah will never fail to stand by young people from every walk of life, a Kuwaiti official said on Sunday. The Kuwaiti Ministry of State for Youth Affairs’ Assistant Undersecretary for Youth Development Mishaal Al-Subaie’s remarks come as the world celebrates ‘International Youth Day,’ an awareness initiative launched by the United Nations to draw attention to cultural issues surrounding youngsters. Subaie, who was feted by the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development, explained that the formation of Kuwait’s ministry of state for youth affairs was a likeminded endeavor that hopes to allow youngsters in Kuwait the chance to contribute to the development of their country. Speaking of a ‘new Kuwait’, he cited national efforts to motivate the country’s youth, including an annual award to acknowledge exceptional creativity and skill.He went on to dedicate his accolade to the Kuwaiti leadership and people. Kuwait’s backing Meanwhile, an Arab development official on Sunday lauded Kuwait’s role in supporting Kuwaiti and Arab youngsters, pointing to His Highness the Amir’s directives in this regard. Member of the Executive Office of the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development Mohammad Al-Yaseen made the remark at the wrapping-up of a ceremony co-organized by the Arab League and the council to mark International Youth Day. He also spoke highly of Kuwaiti young people’s ideas and great projects, calling for boosting their capabilities and skills. —
