Premier hosts champion Daihani

KUWAIT: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak AlHamad Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace yesterday the Olympic champion Fhaid Mohammad Al-Daihani who awarded His Highness a rifle of special specifications. Meanwhile, His Highness the Prime Minister received Dr Nasser Khamis Al-Mutairi who awarded him a book titled ‘Kuwait and Mediation Diplomacy.’

Separately, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Lt Gen Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah received yesterday at his office Kuwait’s Ambassador to Jordan Aziz Al-Daihani. Sheikh Khaled congratulated Daihani on the occasion of being appointed as Kuwait’s new ambassador in Jordan, and discussed with him ways of offering more facilities for Kuwaitis in the kingdom. Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lt Gen Essam Al-Naham attended the meeting.

In the meantime, Finance Minister Nayef Al-Hajraf discussed yesterday with South Korean Ambassador Hong Ki and Nicaraguan Ambassador Mohammed Farara bilateral cooperation. The ministry said in a press statement that the minister received in his office the ambassador of South Korea and discussed with him latest developments on holding of the second session of the Kuwaiti-Korean ministerial committee for economic and trade cooperation. Hajraf also received Nicaraguan Ambassador Mohammed Farara and talked with him about bilateral economic and trade cooperation between the two friendly countries, the statement added.
