Saudi CP’s visit to Kuwait ‘important’: Kuwaiti diplomat
KUWAIT: The visit by Saudi Crown Prince to Kuwait will be “another important milestone in the long and historic relations,” said a Kuwaiti diplomat yesterday. In a statement to KUNA, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad AlSabah said that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah, and the Kuwaiti people welcome Prince Mohammad to his second home.
For very many years, Crown Princes from the two brotherly countries exchanged visits that had a significant impact on strengthening relations, cooperation and exchange of views. During its meeting last week, the Kuwait Cabinet welcomed the Saudi Crown Prince’s visit to the country, noting that his visit is a part of the deeprooted relations between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and a great opportunity to exchange views over a host of issues of mutual interest and further cement cooperation at different levels.
The strong relations linking Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in the past, the present and future are a great example for Arab nations to follow, said the Ambassador who indicated that the visit would focus on developing ties and would touch on issues of mutual interests as well as development within the region and the world. For his part, Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah told the press that the relation between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia is “distinct and growing”.”We are always proud of the development of relations with Saudi Arabia and look admiringly towards the achievements of the Kingdom,” Al-Jarallah added. —KUNA
