Kuwait to partake in the Arab Energy Conference
Minister Al-Rashidi will chair the second technical session
KUWAIT: Minister of Oil and Minister of Electricity and Water Bakheet Al-Rashidi will participate in the first ministerial session of the 11th Arab Energy Conference, which will be held from 1 to 4 October in the Kingdom of Morocco, Kuwait Oil Ministry said yesterday. In a press statement, the ministry said that the meetings will address several topics, most important of which are changes in the oil and natural gas markets, including consequences if any to Arab oil exporting countries.
The statement noted that Minister AlRashidi will chair the second technical session dealing with the subsequent petroleum industries on the Arab and international levels. The delegation will include Kuwaiti Ambassador to Morocco Abdul Latif Al Yahya, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil Sheikh Talal Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah, Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs Mohammad Al-Juwaiser, Acting Director of Energy Research Fuad Mohammad and Public Relations Controller and Acting Petroleum Media Supervisor Sheikha Tamadhur Khaled AlAhmad Al-Sabah. The conference will be attended by official delegations from Arab nations and headed by the ministers of energy, oil, gas and electricity as well as a number of secretaries-general in international and Arab organizations specialized in energy and economy, in addition to the participation of Arab and foreign experts. The idea for convening Arab Energy Conference was decided by the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) in May 1977.
