Education official: Students are prepared to be effective

KUWAIT: “The Ministry of Education is doing its best to equip all graduated students with the necessary knowledge and skills to play an effective role at the local and international levels. Based on the Kuwait Vision strategy, the ministry devotes special attention to developing manpower and creating a sustainable and adequate environment to empower graduates to be leader’s in international scientific fields” said the ministry sciences guide Abdulhamid Al-Kanderi.

He was addressing an educational gathering about programs and activities by “sustainable schools,” held by the “Students environmental center”. “The prime goal at the national level is ensuring a prosperous and sustainable future featuring long term priorities; through programs and strategic schemes designed to attain the highest level of development towards achieving the New Kuwait Vision” Al-Kanderi said.

Meanwhile, Reem Al-Jassem, from Kuwait Municipality’s environmental education department, pointed towards the municipality’s efforts to promote student awareness in the conservation of the environment. The municipality will publish leaflets, booklets and organize seminars and workshops about the topic. For her part, Dr Nadia Al-Mahmoud of the Ministry of Health said the national sustainable strategy covers all state departments, noting that the MoH role in this approach is encouraging the citizens to shift to healthier living habits.
