KUNA chief discusses media with S Korea, Kyrgyzstan
KUWAIT: Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah recently received the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the country Samargyul Adamkulova, as media cooperation and enhancing bilateral relations at all levels were discussed. Ambassador Adamkulova praised, during the reception, the outstanding media role played by KUNA in providing accurate information on various types and areas of news. Meanwhile, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij also received South Korean Ambassador to Kuwait Hong Young-ki, as they discussed ways of boosting media promotion in light of the cooperation agreement between KUNA and the Korean News Agency (Yonhap). Hong stressed the importance of the role played by the media in supporting diplomatic relations between countries, praising KUNA’s efforts in boosting the bilateral relations.
For his part, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij stressed on the keenness of KUNA to cooperate with various media institutions of brotherly and friendly countries in order to deepen communication levels and acquaint itself with different cultures and civilizations. The receptions were attended by KUNA Deputy Director General for Administrative, Financial and Communications’ Affairs Abdulhameed Malik as well as KUNA’s Deputy Director General for Editorial Sector and Editor-in-Chief Saad Al-Ali.
