Austrian Foreign Minister meets Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Speaker
KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah at Bayan Palace yesterday. His Highness received National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem. He also hosted His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, following his return from the friendly United States of America, where he represented His Highness the Amir at funeral of the late 41st US President George HW Bush. Earlier yesterday, His Highness the Amir hosted His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. Also yesterday, His Highness the Crown Prince received Ghanem, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, and His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, accompanied by Austria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Karin Kneissl. The meeting was attended by head of the Protocols at the Diwan of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mubarak Sabah AlSalem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah. The visiting Austrian minister also met with Ghanem, and the two sides discussed ways to boost bilateral relations, issues of common interest and latest regional and international developments. Austrian Ambassador to Kuwait Sigurd Pacher attended the meeting. Furthermore, His Highness the Prime Minister received Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah AlKhaled and his Austrian counterpart, with the attendance of Assistant Foreign Minister for Europe Affairs Ambassador Waleed Al-Khubaizi and Ambassador Marafi.
Al-Quds Waqf Fund
Separately, His Highness the Crown Prince received Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad AlAbdullah Al-Mubarak AlSabah, accompanied by Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Quds Waqf Fund Prince Turki Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz and board members. The reception was held on the occasion of the fund’s meeting in Kuwait. His Highness thanked Prince Turki and the board members for their efforts in supporting Jerusalem in the humanitarian and development fields. In other news, Speaker Ghanem received chairman of Palestine Committee of the Jordanian Parliament Yahya Al-Saud. The meeting was attended by MP Khalaf Al-Enezi and Jordanian Ambassador to Kuwait Saqer Abu Shattal.
Cable of condolences
In the meantime, His Highness the Amir addressed a cable of condolences to King Hamad bin Issa Al-Khalifa, the Monarch of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, on the demise of Her Highness Sheikha Nora bint Issa bin Salman Al-Khalifa. His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness Prime Minister sent identical cables to the Bahraini King. — KUNA
