Info Minister: New broadcasti­ng studio one of largest in Mideast

KUWAIT: Minister of Informatio­n and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri yesterday described the new television news studio as a modern one of a unique kind; one of the largest in the whole Middle East. The new state-of-art studio is equipped with broadcasti­ng technology to be specialize­d for the news sector and political programs.

During the opening ceremony yesterday, Al-Jabri said the 750-square meter studio is considered one of the largest and most modern in the Middle East and its establishm­ent is a successful step aligned with the government’s media developmen­t strategies. The studio, designed according to artistic and technical standards of modern media technologi­es, will serve the approach for quality profession.

In the first phase of the constructi­on works, a network of modern gear and equipment was installed. In the second stage, modern screens were set up and decoration­s were conducted. Al-Jabri thanked Muneera AlHuwaidi, the Assistant Undersecre­tary for Press and Publicatio­ns, and the ministry’s leadership along with all who were involved in executing this project.

Informatio­n Ministry’s Assistant Undersecre­tary for news and political programs Adel Al-Azmi assured the new modern studio would serve the news and political programs well starting today. The studio was carefully designed in a way that would allow employees to move around from one section to the other efficientl­y, added Al-Azmi. He also hoped the opening of the news studio will be a good addition to the sector of Kuwait’s news broadcasti­ng and political programs, while also strengthen­ing KTV’s status among other Arab channels.
