Kuwaiti Deputy Amir receives Kenyan ambassador, Sheikh Dr Ibrahim Al-Duaij
Acting Prime Minister, UAE ambassador discuss relations
KUWAIT: His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received yesterday at Seif Palace Ambassador of Kenya to Kuwait Ali Abbas, over the end of his duties. Head of Protocol at His Highness the Crown Prince’s Diwan Sheikh Mubarak Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah attended the meeting. Meanwhile, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf AlAhmad received Sheikh Dr Ibrahim Al-Duaij Al-Sabah.
Separately, Acting Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met with UAE Ambassador to Kuwait Saqer Nasser AlRaisi, holding talks on bilateral relations. The discussions dealt with vital issues of common interest as well as relations, said the Ministry of Defense in a statement. Raisi extended an invitation to Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad from Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum to attend the 16th Dubai Airshow 2019 in November, it added. Sheikh Nasser Al-Ahmad expressed appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid for the invitation and wished him good health and for the UAE to continue prospering.
In other news, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences on Monday to the President of the Republic of China Xi Jinping, expressing sorrow over earlier factory fire that broke out in Ninghai county, eastern Zhejiang province. In his cable, His Highness the Amir wished as well speedy recovery to all injured in the fire. His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables on the tragic incident. Earlier, the fire incident occurred at a facility owned by the Ruiqi Daily Necessities Company, killing 19 people and injuring 10 others. — KUNA
