Sheikh Sabah receives cable from KDP President Barzani on recuperation

KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received yesterday at Bayan Palace Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. His Highness the Amir also received His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah after concluding an official visit to Egypt. His Highness the Amir then received Attorney General Dherar Al-Asousi.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Sheikh Jaber AlAbdullah, His Highness Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak and Attorney General Dherar AlAsousi. His Highness Sheikh Nawaf also received Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, as well as Kuwait’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Ali Al-Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

In other news, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received yesterday a cable of congratulations from President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Masoud Barzani on His Highness’s recovery from the recent health setback. His Highness the Amir sent a reply cable, expressing deep gratitude for the sincere sentiments, as well as wishing Barzani lasting wellbeing and more progress.

In other news, His Highness the Amir sent a cable yesterday to US President Donald Trump, offering his condolences over casualties of the tornado that swept through the states of Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. His Highness the Amir prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy upon the dead and wished a speedy recovery for the injured, as well as voicing trust that officials in the friendly country are able to overcome impacts of such natural disaster. His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister have sent similar letters to President Trump, while National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanem sent a condolence cables to US Vice President Mike Pence and US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. — KUNA
