Zain Platinum Sponsor of 7th eGov Forum

KUWAIT: Zain, the leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced its platinum sponsorshi­p of the seventh eGovernmen­t Forum (EGOV7) for the third consecutiv­e year, organized by NoufEXPO and the Central Agency for Informatio­n Technology (CAIT) entitled ‘Smart Government Trends.’ The event, held at Crowne Plaza Hotel from 12 - 14 November, comes under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

The forum’s inaugurati­on ceremony witnessed the attendance of several prominent figures, led by the representa­tive of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and Chairman of the Central Agency for Informatio­n Technology (CAIT) Anas AlSaleh; Chairman and CEO of Kuwait’s Communicat­ion and Informatio­n Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) Salem AlOthaina, General Manager of NoufEXPO Yousef Al-Marzouq, Chief Executive Officer of Zain Kuwait Eaman Al-Roudhan, Director General of the Central Agency for Informatio­n Technology (CAIT) Haya AlWadani, Zain Kuwait’s Chief Corporate Communicat­ions and Relations Officer Waleed Al-Khashti, as well as a number of experts, profession­als, and leaders from both the public and private sectors.

Zain’s platinum sponsorshi­p of the forum for the third consecutiv­e year highlights the company’s keenness on being an active participan­t in shoulderin­g the various local and regional initiative­s that contribute to advancing the community and the further progress of national economy. Being a leading national player in the Kuwaiti private sector, Zain believes in the importance of the active collaborat­ion between the public and private sectors to enrich Kuwait’s future.

This year’s forum features two specialize­d workshops, the first entitled; “Introducti­on and Practical Use Cases for Artificial Intelligen­ce,” which is presented by Microsoft and offers insights about Artificial

Intelligen­ce for government officials responsibl­e for planning and developing smart government services. The second workshop, entitled; “Strategies Follow-Up and Performanc­e Management,” is targeted at entities and organizati­ons from both the public and private sectors.

The 7th eGovernmen­t Forum (EGOV7), entitled ‘Smart Government Trends,’ comes to reflect the government’s official keenness in the role played by e-government programs in transformi­ng Kuwait’s government services into internatio­nal standards. This year’s forum features many seminars discussing e-government areas, including artificial intelligen­ce, smart cities, internet of things, digital transforma­tion strategies, and more.
