Amir congratulates UAE on national day, Saudi King on coronation anniversary
KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace yesterday Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq Al-Ghanem. His Highness the Amir also received His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, President of the Supreme Judicial Council, President of the Constitutional Court and Head of the Cassation Court Justice Yousef AlMutawaa, and Kuwaiti Ambassador to the UK Khaled Al-Duwaisan.
Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratulations to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed on his country’s 48th National Day. In his cable, His Highness the Amir praised the steady growth of the historical ties and cooperation between both countries in all fields. His Highness the Amir applauded the achievements made by sisterly UAE in areas of development and construction under the wise leadership of Sheikh Khalifa. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables to Sheikh Khalifa.
In the meantime, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratulations to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia on the fifth anniversary of his coronation. In his message, His Highness the Amir praised the steady growth of the historical ties and cooperation between both countries in all fields. He applauded the achievements made by sisterly Saudi Arabia in areas of development and construction under the wise leadership of King Salman. He expressed best wishes for King Salman and expressed hope for Saudi Arabia to continue the march towards prosperity and welfare for its people and Arab and Muslim nations as well. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables to King Salman.
Furthermore, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratulation to President of Namibia Hage Geingob, on his re-election. His Highness the Amir wished the Namibian President success in his new presidential term, and further progress and prosperity for bilateral ties between the two nations. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad AlSabah sent similar cables.
Separately, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah offered in a cable yesterday his deepest condolences to US President Donald Trump on a plane crash incident, which occurred in South Dakota, leading to several casualties. In the cable, His Highness prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy upon the dead and wished a speedy recovery for the injured. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled AlHamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah also sent cables yesterday to Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, expressing sincere condolences over the demise of Yasuhiro Nakasone, former Japanese premier. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also sent similar cables.
In addition, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah sent a cable to the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Felix Tshisekedi, expressing condolences over the victims of Kinshasa torrential rains and landslides. His Highness expressed sorrow over the victims and wished speedy recovery to those injured. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent similar cables.
