AUB: great success of ‘Fun Run’ event
KUWAIT: With impressive success and huge turnout, Ahli United Bank (AUB) concluded the ‘Fun Run’ race held under the slogan ‘Plant Palm Trees with Your Steps.’ This success basically stems from the Bank’s active role and its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program which sets youth and environment on the top of its priorities in alignment with His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah ‘New Kuwait Vision 2035.’
On this occasion, Jehad Al-Humaidhi, Acting CEO of Ahli United Bank said: “We are pleased with our success in this event, which further solidifies the role of AUB in community participation through this activity, which attracted a large number of participants who gathered to spread awareness on the importance of following a healthy lifestyle, preserving the environment and supporting those in need. All proceeds from this event will be allocated for planting palm trees, and the produced dates will be dedicated to continuously support needy families. This achieves several community noble goals that make us feel pride and encourages us to sustain our purposeful community programs.” Humaidhi congratulated all participants and organizers who made this event a great success, which became a milestone for outstanding community programs, especially after the growing success achieved year after year.
Commenting on this event, Sahar Dashti, General Manager of Customer Protection and the Head of AUB CSR Team said: “I cannot find words to express my happiness and pride of the success achieved in the ‘Fun Run’ initiative,” adding, “The biggest sources of happiness are the enthusiasm and engagement I found in all participants.
