ABK announces phased reopening of branches
KUWAIT: With the gradual easing of COVID-19 restrictions by the Council of Ministries, and in line with the announcement made by the Kuwait Banking Association (KBA), Al-Ahli Bank of Kuwait K.S.C.P. (ABK) will open eleven strategically located branches to receive customers from 9 am to 1 pm, starting 2nd June 2020. ABK branches will include head office (Kuwait City), Sharq, Shaab, Salmiya, Fahaheel, Jahra 2, Jabriya, Andalous, Zahra, Adan & Shuwaikh.
With most services available online, ABK urges customers to use the bank’s Digital Banking services, which are always available, and limit branch visits only to those transactions that cannot be completed online. Customers can use ‘Global View’ to manage multiple ABK accounts through a single login; ‘ABKPay’ to split bill payments or transfer money to their ABK account from other local bank accounts; and ‘eServices’ to instantly open a savings account online without visiting a branch. The bank’s Call Center will also continue to operate 24 hour a days, seven days a week.
ABK’s first priority is the safety and wellbeing of its customers and employees. Respecting the prevailing health and safety guidelines, the bank will continue to extend and review preventive protocols across all the operating branches, including measuring the temperature of customers and only allowing customers with masks and gloves to enter the branch. To help prevent the spread of the virus, ABK has also installed hand sanitizers in all branches and across all ATMs, including offsite ATMs.
Through continuous risk assessment, by adopting good hygiene practices in the workplace, and by educating employees on the facts and risks, ABK is committed to limiting the spread of the virus, and upholding the health and wellbeing of employees, customers, and the general public.
