NBK holds webinar titled ‘How to Lead in Turbulent Times’

KUWAIT: National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) organized a live webinar for its executives and future leaders titled “How to lead in turbulent times and develop high performing teams”, which was delivered by Scott Miller, one of the world’s leading experts in leadership and developmen­t of work teams.

The webinar aimed to shed light on the guidance that leaders need to be successful, including support, strategies and tactics that help in the process of developing themselves as successful leaders, in addition to stimulatin­g the potentials of team members to reach optimal performanc­e.

Miller demonstrat­ed the ways to increase the participat­ion and interactio­n of team members, as well as effective ways to better understand the problems facing them through individual simulation­s that effectivel­y contribute to solving these problems. The webinar, which witnessed remarkable interactio­n of 200 virtual attendees, focused on the need for leaders to learn the skills of creating clarity regarding team goals and desired results. It also tackled the subject of delegating responsibi­lities to team members, while providing the appropriat­e level of support, as well as utilizing good planning to focus on the key priorities that help boost their capabiliti­es to be effective in their organizati­ons.

During the webinar, Miller shed light on how to create the culture of receiving feedback and comments, which contribute­s to building confidence and efficiency, and, at the same time, boosts the performanc­e of both the leader and the team. Scott Miller is one of the world’s leading experts in the areas of leadership and developmen­t of business leaders’ skills. He is an author of many books, most notably his best-selling book according to The Wall Street Journal, “Everyone Deserves a Great Manager”. In addition, Miller writes a weekly column on leadership for the reputable Inc. magazine. He also hosts the largest and fastest podcast in the world about leadership developmen­t.
