AUB’s Jeragh named ‘Best Banking CIO of Year Kuwait 2021’
KUWAIT: In a new addition to AUB’s growing record of awards, the General Manager of Information Technology at Ahli United Bank, Abdullah Yousef Jeragh, was awarded the Best Banking Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the year Kuwait 2021 by the reputable international magazine Global Banking and Finance Review. Jeragh was granted this Award in recognition of his vision, strategy and strong leadership in the field of banking information technology, and his achievements that enabled AUB to deal with the unfavorable conditions resulting from the repercussions of Covid19 pandemic, and the support he has provided to IT Department. Jeragh managed over years of service at AUB to make several achievements in IT infrastructure. He also managed to provide the necessary information infrastructure to support the bank in its journey towards providing digital services and products in addition to its usual services.
This Award is granted on an annual basis by “Global Banking and Finance Review” magazine. This year, Jeragh received the highest votes as the Best Banking CIO of the year Kuwait 2021 The magazine’s global banking and financial research team evaluated the nominees for the award and ensured that they fulfill the criteria required to win in the chosen category. Then, the panel composed of the research team, the editor and the publisher, made the final evaluation.
Commenting on this Award, Jehad AlHumaidhi, the Acting Chief Executive Officer at AUB said this success is a recognition of the record of success and achievements of Mr. Jeragh over many years in which he has worked at AUB and has been able, with the support of the Bank’s IT team to make tangible achievements in utilizing IT to develop and enhance banking business. “Honoring and appreciating the distinguished human resources that work at AUB is a recognition of the Bank’s excellence and its ability to achieve continuous success, and I extend my sincere congratulations to Jeragh and his team at IT Department for their excellence,” Al-Humaidhi added.
