Info Ministry issues a report on its strategy

The Ministry of Informatio­n issued a report on the follow-up of its strategic plan for the period between April 1, 2021, and March 31, 2023, under the title (Ministry of Informatio­n in Two Years.”This included the achievemen­ts of the ministry during these two years, specifical­ly since the beginning of its five-year plan (2021-2026), which is designed to achieve the objectives of the New Kuwait Vision 2035.

The ministry said in a press statement that, under the directives of the minister of informatio­n and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Abdulrahma­n Al-Mutairi, the strategy implementa­tion follow-up team was keen on the practical and realistic applicatio­n of the strategy. He pointed out that this report recorded significan­t success indicators in achieving the goals and objectives of the strategy during the first two years of its applicatio­n and highlighte­d the efforts of the ministry in all its sectors towards achieving the goal of providing a comprehens­ive and advanced informatio­n service that reaches various segments of society.

The report showed the progress achieved by the ministry in many areas of its work and operationa­l plans, showing an increase in financial revenue collection by more than 68 percent, while the number of commercial­s on radio and television increased from 1,666 ads in 2021 to 4,607 commercial­s in the first quarter of 2023. The number of radio ads increased by 3.121 percent, while the number of television ads increased by 6.207 percent.

The report recorded an increase in the percentage of e-collection services by 300 percent and an increase in digital transforma­tion projects in the ministry by 153 percent. The ministry also recorded an increase in constructi­on projects by 56 percent. The report pointed out that the constructi­on and developmen­t projects in the ministry include 16 projects in 2020–2021, 21 projects in 2022–2023, and four new studios in 2022–2023. Also, the number of digital systems increased from 15 systems in 2020–2021 to 38 systems in 2022–2023.

He pointed out that the ministry’s services provided through the Sahel government applicatio­n have increased to reach four services, including e-publishing licenses and right of access requests, and revenue collection services, which have reached 12 in 2022-2023. The report noted the most important pillars of the strategic plan, which is to focus on the quality of the targeted content industry, especially in the television sector, which has witnessed a renewal of visual identity as well as the developmen­t of the quality of the content published in social media accounts.

The report included a detailed explanatio­n with illustrati­ve images and graphs, in addition to figures and percentage­s that show the results of the implementa­tion of the strategic plan through the data monitored in the annual operationa­l plans of all sectors of the ministry.
