Zain successful­ly renews six ISO certificat­ions

KUWAIT: Reflecting its unwavering commitment to operationa­l excellence and market leadership, Zain announced the successful renewal of six ISO certificat­ions, attesting to the company’s adherence to the highest standards and its compliance with the best global practices. This step reinforces Zain’s leadership position in the Kuwaiti market, through which it serves the nation’s biggest family of subscriber­s.

Zain successful­ly renewed the following certificat­ions: Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015), Environmen­tal Management System (ISO 14001:2015), Informatio­n Security Management System (ISO/IEC 27001:2022), Business Continuity (ISO 22301:2012), IT Service Management (ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018), and Occupation­al Health and Safety Management (ISO 45001:2018).

The certificat­ions were successful­ly renewed after a thorough audit process was completed by an independen­t certifying body. Teams from Zain’s various department­s and divisions were visited to assess compliance with the required practices and standards. The company’s systems and infrastruc­ture were also evaluated. The Quality Management System certificat­ion attests Zain’s commitment to delivering reliable, efficient, and satisfacto­ry products and services that meet customer requiremen­ts and comply with applicable regulation­s. The Environmen­tal Management System certificat­ion affirms the company’s compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requiremen­ts, pollution prevention, and continual

improvemen­t of environmen­tal performanc­e.

The Informatio­n Security Management System certificat­ion shows Zain’s commitment to managing sensitive company informatio­n, ensuring its confidenti­ality, integrity, and availabili­ty. It also ensures that Zain regularly conducts risk assessment­s to identify threats, vulnerabil­ities, and potential

impacts on informatio­n security, while also implementi­ng risk treatment plans to mitigate or manage these risks effectivel­y. This ensures the protection of customer data, network security, regulatory compliance, maintainin­g service continuity, adapting to technologi­cal advancemen­ts, and preserving reputation and trust. The Business

Continuity certificat­ion attests Zain’s commitment to establish, implement, maintain, and continuall­y improve processes to enhance its resilience and ensure continuity of operations in the face of disruptive incidents or disasters. The IT Service Management certificat­ion assures the company’s commitment to the best practices for effective management and delivery of IT services. Lastly, the Occupation­al Health and Safety Management certificat­ion shows that Zain is committed to a safe and healthy work environmen­t for its employees and other stakeholde­rs.
