Govt ‘committed to Amiri vision on justice, efficiency’

KUWAIT: Deputy Prime Minister and Oil Minister Dr. Emad Al-Atiqi affirmed on Tuesday his full commitment to the vision of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah with regards to achieving justice, efficiency, and taking care of the human element. In his statement delivered at a conference organized by Kuwait Petroleum Corporatio­n (KPC) titled ‘Excellence in Leadership’ and held at Al-Abdaliya Natural Reserve, which belongs to KOC, Al-Atiqi stressed the importance of following His Highness the Amir’s instructio­ns aimed at disciplini­ng all department­s and administra­tive and financial works, rejecting any form of favoritism.

He added that the human element in the oil sector in general and in engineerin­g work in particular is considered crucial to achieving all performanc­e incentives in administra­tive and engineerin­g works and to ensuring the quality and improvemen­t of KPC’s work to the best internatio­nal standards in human performanc­e. The conference was attended by Vice Chairman and CEO of KPC Sheikh Nawaf Saud Nasser Al-Sabah, former Minister of Oil and Housing Affairs Dr. Adel Al-Sabeeh, and CEO of the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) Isam Al-Sager.

The speakers shared their experience leading the most important economic sectors in Kuwait, including the oil and gas industry, banking, and constructi­on sectors, focusing on leadership qualities and skills to be used in the oil sector in the future. The conference aimed at embodying the role of human resources as an essential partner in all KPC sectors, highlighti­ng the importance of leadership in transformi­ng the Kuwait 2040 master plan into tangible results, and activating the role of planning, organizing, and monitoring in achieving the KPC vision.
