With amazing games and thousands of prizes, IKEA celebrates Family Fun Day

KUWAIT: IKEA, the leading brand for life at home organized this weekend a fun-filled playing day welcoming all the families of Kuwait. The event, that took place Friday and Saturday, was attended by more than ten thousand people and brought families together for quality family fun time. “We started considering this idea almost two years ago, to help parents spend quality playing time outdoors with their children away from tablets and phones–facilitating a break from screens for both parents and children. We wanted them to play together, have fun and enjoy the beautiful weather of the winter of Kuwait.” said Elisa Albendea, Marketing Director of IKEA Kuwait, Jordan and Morocco.

“As we aim to inspire everyone in Kuwait to have a healthier and more sustainable living, this outdoor event was the perfect opportunity to invite families to connect together for two days away from their daily routines. This initiative is only the start of many more events to come. We intend to be -By your side in all the important moments of life.” added Marino Maganto, CEO of IKEA Kuwait, Jordan, and Morocco. During the event, the families relived together the cherished childhood games of the parents, in an exciting experience, featuring family obstacle races, carnival games, kids’ entertainment, and enjoyed delicious meals, snacks, and drinks.

At the race, each game winner received KD 100, while the top three overall race champions won prizes of KD 1,000, KD 500, and KD 250, respectively. Kids and parents alike won thousands of soft toys at the carnival games. Best of all, the event was completely free for families to enjoy. “We want to bring this enjoyable experience for the people of Kuwait on a yearly basis and look forward to receiving more families each year assuring our commitment; IKEA by your side for a better life.” concluded Maganto.
