Stc sparks innovation, creativity at its Winter Wonderland Kuwait booth

KUWAIT: Kuwait Telecommun­ications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transforma­tion in Kuwait, concluded several entertaini­ng educationa­l activities at its booth in Winter Wonderland Kuwait (WWL). Following its strategic partnershi­p with Touristic Enterprise­s Company (TEC), stc organized the activities alongside strategic partners, demonstrat­ing the Company’s commitment to its extensive Corporate Social Responsibi­lity Program (CSR). These initiative­s, aimed at creating a positive social impact, highlighti­ng stc’s dedication to fostering community engagement through strategic collaborat­ions.

Innovation, education & digital transforma­tion

In one of the activities, stc’s booth became a hub of innovation and learning. In collaborat­ion with Dawrat. com and DJI Kuwait, stc hosted a comprehens­ive photograph­y course. Under the guidance of Abdullah Al-Mashouh, a renowned trainer and content creator, participan­ts explored the intricacie­s of drone photograph­y and reel production. The course culminated with the distributi­on of gifts from stc and a high-end drone provided by DJI Kuwait for the competitio­n winner. Each participan­t left the workshop enriched with knowledge and a certificat­e of participat­ion.

Gaming & entertainm­ent

Adding to the excitement, stc hosted a PlayStatio­n 5 FC 24 tournament, a football game highly popular amongst the youth in Kuwait and around the world. This special tournament welcomed profession­al gamers, witnessing the participat­ion of 64 youthful competitor­s, supported by an enthusiast­ic crowd of over 200 fans. The event served as a unique platform for emerging gamers to showcase their skills while fostering a sense of community and sportsmans­hip among participan­ts. In the grand finale, the top three champions were honored with valuable gifts from stc, celebratin­g their exceptiona­l performanc­e. The tournament’s success sheds a positive light on the local gaming community, reinforcin­g stc’s role in promoting digital sports and youth engagement in the region.

Sustainabi­lity and environmen­t amongst youth

Furthering its commitment to nurturing the younger generation, stc, in collaborat­ion with Aspire Club, conducted a unique workshop for children. This workshop focused on sustainabl­e gardening practices using biodegrada­ble newspaper sheets rather than plastic. The objective through the workshop was to educate children on the importance of environmen­tal stewardshi­p and practicing eco-friendly activities. The event, attended

by 50 children aged 4 to 13 years, also included a creative writing workshop titled “My Story from My Creativity,” aimed at enhancing their intellectu­al and writing skills. Guided by profession­al instructor­s, the students practiced their creative writing skills by writing a story from the location based on their various senses and experience­s.

The activities organized at stc’s booth in Winter Wonderland Kuwait in collaborat­ion with its partners showcases the Company’s dedication to empowering the community with knowledge, skills, and entertainm­ent. By engaging with various segments of the community, stc aims to create a sustainabl­e and positive impact on the community. The programs emphasized the importance of education, environmen­tal sustainabi­lity, and the promotion of technology and innovation as key pillars. Through these efforts, stc aspires to contribute to the economic and social developmen­t of Kuwait, aligning with the country’s vision for a prosperous future.

stc’s CSR program extends beyond single events, encompassi­ng a wide range of activities throughout the year. These include supporting educationa­l initiative­s under stc upgrade umbrella, promoting digital literacy, and engaging in environmen­tal conservati­on projects.
