Obstetrics and Gynecology conf to explore AI
The Obstetrics and Gynecology conference’s 26th edition will take place from February 8-10 under the patronage of Health Minister Dr Ahmad Al-Awadhi, according to Dr Hanan Al-Huseini, head of the obstetrics and gynecology department at Jahra Hospital. Dr Huseini, who will chair the conference, stated that this edition of the conference will be the largest scientific and training event in this field and will be attended by 20 experts from 20 countries, including the United Kingdom, Spain, Russia, Cyprus, India, Slovenia, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, as well as local experts who are renowned for their experience and outstanding performance.
The conference will cover topics related to pregnancy, obstetrics, maternal and fetal medicine, infertility problems in women and men and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the quality and results of IVF babies. Dr Huseini added the conference will provide insight into the latest scientific discoveries to enhance medical services for patients and the future of embryology, genetics, robotic surgeries, AI in fetal ultrasounds and fetal treatment interventions during pregnancy.
Moreover, the conference will discuss recent developments in pre-pregnancy genetics and sharia and religious views on AI in medicine, particularly in obstetrics and gynecology. Three workshops will be held before the conference — the advanced detailed ultrasound in obstetrics and gynecology on Feb 6-7, male fertility surgeries on Feb 5, 6 and 7 and hysteroscopy on Feb 6-7.
