Blessed month of Ramadan begins
Amir exchanges Ramadan greetings • Disciplined personnel released
Kuwait announced that Ramadan will start on Monday in the country as the crescent moon was sighted Sunday night. HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah exchanged congratulatory cables with leaders of Arab and Muslim countries on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. HH the Amir prayed to Almighty Allah to bless the Arab and Muslim nations in this month and bestow health upon them.
HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal received congratulatory cables from Chief of the National Guard HH Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, HH Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, HH Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak Al-Sabah, HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, HH Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah and HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
They expressed their sincere congratulations, asking Almighty Allah to bless the dear homeland in this holy month and bestow HH the Amir with health and wellbeing. In response, HH the Amir sent cables of thanks, including appreciation for their messages, asking Almighty Allah in this month to bless the homeland, as well as citizens, with safety, security and prosperity.
HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal received on Sunday HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad at Bayan Palace. HH the Amir also received Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Acting Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah. HH the Amir also received on Sunday the ambassadors of Albania, Italy, Myanmar, Tunisia and the US, who handed their credentials during a ceremony at Bayan Palace. Senior state officials attended the ceremony.
Meanwhile, the interior and defense ministries announced on Sunday the release of all members of the police force and soldiers in disciplinary detention on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan. The release orders by Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lt Gen Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Chief of the General Staff Lt Gen Bandar Al-Muzain came upon instructions of Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Acting Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah.
