Cabinet congratulates leaders, residents as Ramadan begins
KUWAIT: The Council of Ministers held its weekly meeting on Monday, chaired by the Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. After the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sharida Abdullah Al-Maousherji stated the following: At the beginning of its meeting, the Council of Ministers extended its highest congratulations and blessings to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and to the noble Kuwaiti people and residents on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
On the other hand, the Council of Ministers praised the organization of the Kuwait General Authority for Sports (Kuwait Sports Day) event held last Saturday on the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah bridge under the patronage, presence, and participation of the Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and a number of ministers and ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries, in addition to the participation of citizens and residents of all age groups and people with special needs, noting the importance of exercise for all and its positive impact on human health.
In this regard, the Cabinet expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, the Minister of State for Communications Affairs, Dawood Sulaiman Maarafi, members of the General Authority for Sports, and all entities that contributed to the success of the sports event for their efforts in organizing the distinctive sports event.
On the other hand, the Cabinet reviewed the recommendation of the ministerial education, health, and youth committee on the preservation of heritage and historical buildings and sites in Kuwait, and the Cabinet decided to instruct the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters to accelerate the implementation of its plans and programs to rehabilitate these heritage and historical buildings to be tourist and cultural landmarks in the country.
The ministers also reviewed a number of recommendations in the minutes of the meeting of the ministerial legal affairs committee on agreements and memoranda of understanding between the state of Kuwait and a number of brotherly and friendly countries, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the state of Kuwait and those countries in various fields.
