Minister launches national campaign to pay off debts

KUWAIT: Minister of Social Welfare, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Sheikh Feras Saud Al-Malik Al-Sabah, announced the launch of the national campaign (Your assistance is a joy for them) to pay off the debts, in line with the humanitarian role of Kuwait, the directives of the political leadership, and the instructions of the Council of Ministers on the importance of localizing charitable work inside the country.

Sheikh Feras Al-Sabah said in a speech to Kuwait Television on Saturday, “In the breath of this great month, the holy month of Ramadan, the month of goodness and giving, with the help of God and his good fortune, we announce the launch of the national campaign to pay off the debts for the second year in a row.” He added that the campaign will be launched after the 15th of Ramadan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the Federation of Consumer Cooperative Societies, and the Federation of Kuwaiti charities and associations.

He pointed out that this work will once again present an honorable picture of charity work inside the country and the love of the Kuwaiti people for doing good, providing assistance to the needy, alleviating their worries burdened by debts, and bringing smiles and joy to the faces of many Kuwaiti families in need of assistance. Donors are invited from the public and private sectors, cooperative societies, as well as associations, charities, and individuals to participate in this campaign.
