TEC achieves record success in 2024: Officials

KUWAIT: The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Touristic Enterprises Company, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Sabah, said that the company has worked hard to achieve the vision of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in terms of developing the tourism and entertainment sector. The remarks came in a speech by Sheikh Mohammed on Sunday during the general assembly of the Touristic Enterprises Company for the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2023, with an attendance rate of 100 percent.

“The company has completed many projects and events and achieved unprecedented successes during 2023, which gave us greater motivation to continue to provide various entertainment projects of high quality,” he said, pointing out that the company succeeded in implementing several strategic partnerships that were lauded by the public.

Sheikh Mohammed listed Winter Wonderland Kuwait, the largest entertainment project in the country, and the South Sabahiya Park, an integrated recreational facility, as two of the company’s achievements. He also pointed to the development and opening of Blajat Beach Phase I, which is the first public beach facility that includes all beach services for visitors.

For 2024, the company is planning several prominent projects, including: phase II of the waterfront, operation of Messila Beach, the development of the Ras Al Ardh Sea Club and the Hilton Mangaf Park, and working on developing the final concepts for the Khiran Park and the Jahra Entertainment Hall projects.

CEO of TEC, Fadel Al-Dosari, said that the company was able to create more than 600 job opportunities for national cadres, as they received training and qualification through international companies specialized in the field of entertainment, facilities management, security and safety, and more than 500 investment opportunities were provided for small and medium enterprises.

The company’s facilities have received more than two million visitors for the year 2023. He added that the most important goals of the company for 2024 are Kuwaitization of all leadership positions in the company, the pursuit of digital transformation, the launch of the customer reward program, and the increase and intensification of training and qualification courses for project employees.
