Is­rael pre­pares for next Hezbol­lah war

On Septem­ber 5, Is­rael be­gan its largest mil­i­tary ex­er­cises in al­most 20 years, amid grow­ing ten­sions over the in­flu­ence of Iran in Syria and Le­banon. Ac­cord­ing to the Times of Is­rael, the war games in­cluded tens of thou­sands of Is­raeli sol­diers and re­servists, as well as naval ships, drones, he­li­copters, and fighter jets. They de­ployed in a mock 10-day war against Hezbol­lah’s mil­i­tary wing, which in­cluded sim­u­la­tions of ground, air, sea, and cy­ber-war­fare. The drill was named “The Light of the Grain,” and sim­u­lated a con­flict with Hezbol­lah that be­gan with a sud­den, small at­tack and de­vel­oped into a full-scale war.
