Prepare for the future

-

Having received this message from the President of AMFORHT (World association for Hospitality and Tourism Education and Training), I think it is very important that all those engaged in hospitality activities should take this into consideration:

"

I have a few words to all those young people who cannot go to college this year. I will not make a list of the reasons why this situation exists – it is revolting – it is unworthy. Therefore, I cannot keep silent.

The right to education is a fundamental human right – I wish all AMFORHT members proclaim very loudly that every man and woman, from all countries, all cultures, can benefit from a universal right to training and education throughout their lives.

This commitment is not everyone’s business, but should be each and every person’s business…

Each of us can contribute, modestly or fully, to spread knowledge to those who have no access to education. Please consider this for a moment, and you’ll find out how to contribute to this cause effectively.

We all have a huge stock of records, books, knowledge material: let’s share it with those who do not have these means! Moreover, couldn’t we create the “Universal Library of Tourism”, open and free to all? Let’s gather our academic assets and let’s share them.

So, for all of you (professors and professional trainers), I wish for a year in which we can share our wisdom with all of those who do not have the opportunity to be a member of AMFORHT. I rely on each of you to make a difference." Nouhad Dammous Editor-in-chief Docteur Honoris Causa
