The lastest hap­pen­ings around the coun­try

To date, 130 climb­ing routes have been cre­ated in the Tannourine dis­trict of north Le­banon. Of­fer­ing a va­ri­ety of lev­els, it has be­come the most im­por­tant cen­ter for rock climb­ing in Le­banon. The LIVCD­funded pro­ject is now near com­ple­tion and both route builders, The Rock Climb­ing As­so­ci­a­tion for De­vel­op­ment (RAD) and the lo­cal Mu­nic­i­pal­ity Pres­i­dent, have shared their ex­cite­ment about it reach­ing its fi­nal stages. As the first pro­ject of its kind the wider re­gion, it pro­vides an im­por­tant boost for ru­ral tourism in Tannourine and aims to at­tract rock climbers from all over the world.
