THE WORLD: EPISODE THREE

WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN and we’re only halfway through it. Even scriptwriters wouldn’t be able to dream up the twists and turns that have occurred, from the historic handshake between South and North Korea, to Barisan Nasional’s loss in the recent Malaysian General Elections. And this month’s planned summit between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore promised to be yet another nail-biting cliffhanger in this season of The World. Until it was abruptly cancelled (and then reinstated again). We’re hopeful that the summit will go on as planned and not be hostage to Trump’s oscillating emotions. The world has gone through too many dark moments in this episode already. AM
