OYSTER PERPETUAL COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA

Somewhere over the rainbow is a timepiece that has established an extraordinary track record in the world of motor sport, rising to the rank of an icon with its scintillating gem sets upon its bezel. First created in 1963, the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona joins Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual novelties of the year, presently unveiled in its 18ct Everose gold glory, in lieu of the emblematic tachymetric scale, and a bezel set with a gradation of sapphires in rainbow hues. The chronograph counters in pink Gold Crystals harmonise with the 56 brilliant-cut diamonds set into the lugs and crown guard, as well as a dial that features 11 baguette-cut sapphire hour markers, each matching the colour of the corresponding point on the bezel. This new version is fitted with an Easylink rapid extension system, patented by Rolex in 1996, allowing the wearer to increase with ease the bracelet length by approximately 5mm for additional comfort.
