CHOPARD
MILLE MIGLIA RACING COLOURS
Since 1988, Chopard has been the official timekeeper and sponsor of Mille Miglia, the classic car version of the Italian endurance race turned road rally event that covers an enchanting 1,000-mile route from Brescia to Rome and back. Amongst the many timepieces created for the exclusive race, Chopard’s archive peaks this year with the Mille Miglia Racing Colours collection, in celebration of its 30th year of partnership with the Mille Miglia. The finely crafted 42mm chronograph is produced in a limited series of 300 pieces for each dial colour ‒ bright red Rosso Corsa for the Italians, British racing green for the United Kingdom, grey-white for the German “silver arrows”, yellow for the Belgians as in their national flag, and blue for the French Bugattis and Talbots. These are the first five national colours used in auto-racing in the 1910s.
