TAG HEUER
CARRERA CHRONOGRAPH GMT
Taking the DNA of the first Heuer Carrera chronograph in 1963 to new heights (it is, after all, its 55th anniversary this year), TAG Heuer introduces a GMT function into the newly launched Heuer 02 family ‒ a first for TAG Heuer in adding this complication to its manufacture movement. Alongside the design codes and DNA of the Heuer Carrera, which features the original “3-6-9” counter layout from 1963, the second time zone is adjustable with the crown. It is read using the lacquered red hand mounted ingeniously in between the hour and minute hands, enabling it to pass over the indexes and skim the black and blue ceramic bezel with the 24-hour GMT scale. The chronograph minutes and hours, the permanent small second, and the date window are arranged neatly amidst the skeleton dial, which offers glimpses of the Heuer 02 manufacture movement.
