LES VAUBERTS LA GRANDE LUNE AUTOMATIC
The small village of Les Vauberts was once home to some of the world’s pioneering watchmakers more than 400 years ago. Residing near Les Genevez, in the Canton of Jura in Switzerland, these watchmakers were farmers in the summer, before they took up their watchmaking duties in the winter months to get by. The designs fromLes Vauberts ‒ elegant and classic, with reliable mechanical or powerful quartz Swissmade movements, would go on to play a massive part in today’s horology industry. The Les Vauberts collection pays tribute to the historic farmhouse, and the Automatic Moon Phase in particular, sports a silver dial with blue hands and indices, as if lit by moonlight. Upon the simplistic face, the display at 6 o’clock showcases the passing of the Moon’s phases against a starlit sky, whereas the date window at 3 o’clock marks off the passage of time in minute increments.
