Luminox soldiers on with new rugged designs, colourways and modern upgrades
LEATHERBACK SEA TURTLE 0320 SERIES
Part of the nautical-themed Sea series, the Leatherback Sea Turtle collection, made for the great outdoors, has been expanded to include three new, rugged colorways, featuring hues of orange, cream, hunter-green and black, with one model offered with a black PU band, while the other two with black NATO webbing strap.
The shape of the classic Luminox design has a protected crown balanced by an opposite outcropping that has often been compared to the shape of a turtle, hence the name of the collection. In fact, the champion of sea turtles, the leatherback, known to dive the deepest and travel the farthest, inspired the Leatherback Sea Turtle collection.
Made of CARBONOX, an exceptionally strong and ultralight carbon compound, not to mention a trademark of Luminox, the new Leatherback Sea Turtle comes in 44mm with water-resistance of up to 100m, and is equipped with the same Luminox Light Technology (LLT) as all other watches by the manufacture in the form of Tritium tubes on the indexes, providing non-stop illumination and aroundthe-clock legibility. All that is being offered at a lower price point, too, making it accessible to a broader consumer base.
MASTER CARBON SEAL 3800 SERIES
The most advanced and lightweight watch within the entire SEAL collection, the Master Carbon SEAL now comes in two new, additional colourways with an updated take on the innovative design. The high-tech carbon compound, CARBONOX, creates an ultra-strong, durable and scratch-resistant watchcase that is three times lighter than Titanium. The material is fashioned with the use of long carbon bars to support the polymers. This construction results in a lighter, stiffer and more durable case, impervious to extreme temperatures, in a very attractive anthracite colour.
While the formal navy blue dial and blue strap combination that launched in 2017 is a winning combination that will never go out of style, 2018 introduces pops of orange throughout the bezel with grey and blue dial options. As part of Luminox’s Sea collection, the watch is water-resistant to 300m, perfect for deep dives. The extra thick sapphire crystal and stainless steel case back reinforce the water resistance. Model 3803.C also incorporates the very best of two luminous technologies ‒ the Luminox Light Technology with the addition of Super-LumiNova on the hour markers and bezel for maximum visibility.
ATACAMA FIELD AUTOMATIC 1900 SERIES
The latest addition to the Luminox Land collection, the new Atacama Field Automatic range consists of three models, sporting multiple strap/bracelet options, and a sharp, modern aesthetic. Named after the Atacama Desert, one of the most extreme stretches of land on the planet with daily temperatures ranging from 40 to 5 degrees, the new 1900
series is designed with extreme adventure in mind but is also perfect for everyday wear. From the field to the office, this modernized take on a classic style is bound to impress.
Like previous Atacama Field models, the 1900 series features an automatic movement, a 44mm stainless-steel case and a screw-in crown. Upgrades include increased water resistance up to 200m, a single curved, anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal face, and three durable strap/bracelet options: olive green fabric strap, black genuine leather, and stainless steel. The colourways of this series feature a clean, modern aesthetic, with the leather strap and stainless steel bracelet models sporting a black and silver dial, while the fabric strap model features an ivory dial. All three models are accented with an eye-catching orange on the military time markers and second hand.
NAVY SEAL CHRONOGRAPH 3580 SERIES
