Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver penetrates the ocean with a punch of light
Designed for the extremes, the BR 03-92 Diver Full Lum by Bell & Ross penetrates the ocean with a punch of light
AS THE ULTIMATE reference for professional timepieces, Bell & Ross designs each watch to match a specific environment, with utmost precision, legibility, functionality and reliability. Among its strongest suits is producing watches for the marine realm ‒ a tradition that started in 1997 with the Hydromax (water-resistant to a whopping 11,100m) and has since been followed up by the BR 02 range in 2007 and the company’s first square-cased diving watch, the BR 03-92 Diver in 2017.
Making a strong impression on the diving world with its iconic square case, the Diver range has today been expanded to include an innovative new version, the BR 03-92 Diver Full Lum, designed for optimum legibility. Playing with inverted contrasts, Bell & Ross adapted its Lum concept to its latest diving watch and reversed the traditional principles of day and night legibility. In addition, the timepiece features with different shades of luminescence. While its metal basis dial is fully coated with a paint made of green SuperLumiNova C5 pigments, the metal applique skeletonised indices and the bezel’s numerals are filled with green Super-LumiNova C3.
This ultra-phosphorescent green light has a very long durability in the dark, offering a continued optimal reading of time even in complete darkness. Thanks to this most resistant, intense, and innovative variant, the time indications ‒ that must be readable at 25cm in the dark - create a green on green contrast on the dial.
The idea is to switch the contrasts. In the daylight, its modern lines underline the essential. The display of this timepiece meets with a graphic dial and large indices. The 42mm case is cut from a deep matte black ceramic and emphasises the almond green colour of the dial. When diving at night or reaching abyssal depths, its subtle shades turn into an explosion of light, causing the dial to illuminate brightly.
Other technical characteristics of the BR 03-92 Diver Full Lum include water-resistance to 300m and unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel with 60-minute scale. Powered by a sturdy automatic movement, the stylish and hardy timepiece comes in either a woven black rubber strap or an ultra-resilient black synthetic fabric strap.
