“My boyfriend tells me I dress like a 50-year-old wa­ter­colour painter,” says the Brook­lyn-based Dan­ish singer-song­writer. The rea­son, she ex­plains, is be­cause she favours play­ful, colour­ful pieces “that are still el­e­gant.” Oh Land, who grew up in Copen­hagen, spend­ing week­ends sew­ing with her mother, an opera singer, and sis­ter, now a fash­ion de­signer, says that the­atre and bal­let “in­spired my sense of fash­ion.” Her favourite de­signer is Miu Miu’s Mi­uc­cia Prada (“She tells a story that’s not so much about look as about per­son­al­ity”), and she has her eye on Givenchy and Missoni. “I like be­ing sur­prised.”
