OH LAND
“My boyfriend tells me I dress like a 50-year-old watercolour painter,” says the Brooklyn-based Danish singer-songwriter. The reason, she explains, is because she favours playful, colourful pieces “that are still elegant.” Oh Land, who grew up in Copenhagen, spending weekends sewing with her mother, an opera singer, and sister, now a fashion designer, says that theatre and ballet “inspired my sense of fashion.” Her favourite designer is Miu Miu’s Miuccia Prada (“She tells a story that’s not so much about look as about personality”), and she has her eye on Givenchy and Missoni. “I like being surprised.”
