Your earliest beauty memory? From a very young age, I’ve loved to experiment with plants and flowers, creating “home-made” beauty treats. What made you decide to venture into haircare? Well, the Miriam Quevedo Company actually started with skincare. It wasn’t until 2007 I felt there was a strong absence e of high-quality haircare. You could say I had an ulterior motive, as I needed extra TLC for my own tresses – increasingly dry y with age – and I wasn’t getting results no matter what I tried. So we thought, why not create a new concept for the hair and scalp, applying our know-how and expertise se in anti-ageing skincare to haircare? Your tips for lustrous locks? First of all, healthy eating is essential – it is s the secret to great hair. And not stressing out certainly helps a lot, too! Of course, a good cleansing ritual using high-quality products makes an absolute difference. I would recommend Miriam Quevedo Extreme Caviar (great for tangles), Intensive Anti-Aging Luxe Masque, and Restructuring Luxe Serum. Top it all off with our new Sublime Gold Oil. When you say healthy eating, what would you recommend? Personally I like lots of greens with fish and, time to time, some grilled meat. For a decadent treat I go Spanish – Jamón Ibérico with good bread and tomato. Your go-to energy booster? A natural juice of orange and lemon with a little bit of ginger. As a native Spanish, do you see a distinction between Asian and European hair rituals in general? Not at all; our products do well globally. We all mistreat our hair: if we have curls we want the opposite, if we have dark tresses we want them blonde. This goes across cultures; it’s a desire for perfection. MAC Alluring Aquatic Split Fibre Face Brush, RM140 Chanel Exclusive Creation Jardin de Camelias, RM215 MAC Alluring Aquatic Extra Dimension Blush in Sea Me, Hear Me, RM88 Yo Your thoughts on white hair? Whi White hair is very good hair, but this type needs more care. Conditioners with extra nourishing actives can address specific needs so white strands won’t turn yellow. Your products are so luxurious. What inspired the latest? The desire to capture the sparkle of diamonds and their own light, and transfer that shine to the mane. We wanted a formula that gives extra love and care without weighing strands down. Platinum is the conductor that sends the anti-ageing ingredient straight to the heart of your hair. Finally, thermal water specially derived from the hot springs in Salies de Béarn des Gaves is high in antioxidants that help achieve beautiful and healthy locks. And the distinctive scent? We create our perfume in Grasse, France, with ingredients of the highest quality. Weekend style tip? Our deluxe hair turban keeps my mane wavy and voluminous in the easiest way. Your beauty must-haves? If I am very tired I need Miriam Quevedo Glacial White Caviar treatment Mist and A-Helix Advanced Renewal Overnight Mask.
