KGB Gourmet burgers are the new food craze. This burger joint, like many others round town, centres on a single menu of imaginative burgers and fries. KBG incidentally stands for Killer Gourmet Burgers, and its buns are even emblazoned with its initials. Expect an agreeable formula of basic burgers such as the Shack (a juicy cheeseburger with cheddar), Bash (topped with beef bacon relish and caramelised onions), and Bella Bomb ( Portobello mushroom with molten cheese) as well as fancier renditions including the Tornado (a whirlwind of flavours and textures with its grilled patty, fried egg, and onion rings), and the Bobcat, a spicy burger smothered in green chili slaw and jalapeno mayo. THE GRIND BURGER BAR Open daily for lunch and dinner, sink your teeth into its scrumptious creations. Try the Grind house burger (a tower of juicy pork patty with bacon, caramelised onions, egg, and cheese, held together in a house-made brioche), the popular wild-shroom burger (piled high with beef patty, Swiss cheese, and sautéed mushrooms), or the big black dog (a pork bratwurst snug in a charcoal bun, topped with fresh onions, cheddar, and mozzarella). FATBOY’S THE BURGER BAR A Singaporean franchise that’s hit Malaysian shores, this is a non-halal burger joint that means business. One must-try is the RM28 Fat Basterd, a signature treat that is definitely not for the faint-hearted. It consists of two juicy patties sandwiched with pork bacon, cheddar cheese, fried egg, and sauced to the max.
