JUSTIN CHEW
A Raffles College graduate, Justin Chew launched his Basic Label in 2013 when he opened the boutique Thisappear. Initially meant to be a popup, the store has now become a permanent fixture due to positive response. This KLFW saw him debuting his ready-to-wear, which was heavily influenced by ’ 90s hip hop culture. Hoodies were finished with metal buckles, worn with on-trend trainers and knee-high socks. The sweatshirts with graffiti print were a collaboration with local graffiti artist Edmund Yew, bringing a touch of street cred to this collection. Thisappear, 20-2 Jalan Telawi 3, Bangsar Baru.
