Creative director of Tod’s What was your inspiration for the

Spring/ Summer ’15 collection? I did a lot of research and tried to understand women’s emotions in relation to their clothes. For this collection I wanted to bring in elements outside of fashion, such as art. I love ’50s Italian art, including the work of architect Gio Ponti. So I looked at a lot of images and wrote down concepts. It was a very emotional process for me.

Who is the Tod’s woman? The Tod’s woman has both feminine and masculine sides; she values a classic, comfortable style and that comes through in her day-to-day life. What is your favourite palette for Tod’s? The combination of natural hues like beige and

chocolate, along with pink tones. Which are your favourite pieces

in this collection? The biker jackets and the denim pieces. What occasion would you say Tod’s

ready-to-wear is for? It’s for everything from daily life to special occasions. I don’t like to make clothes for one particular moment, with one particular style. The more a woman can pair her Tod’s pieces with her existing clothes and accessories, the better. Is there anyone who inspires you

while you design? I don’t have any one particular muse, but throughout the design process I would discuss continuously with my best friend, Caroline Issa. In fact, I find the way different women carry themselves and their attitudes in their

daily lives is what draws me more.
