Atime forgotten, but never lost: Chanel’s Mademoiselle Privé calls upon a memory of Oriental magnificence with snow-set diamonds, brilliant beige gold, mother-of-pearl, and a mysterious onyx dial. Handmade and crafted to perfection in four to five weeks, the timepieceti is a stunning jewel on its own with state-of-the-art features including a self-winding mechanical movement, 42-hour power reserve, and water resistance up to 30 metres.
Through a perplexing process, Chanel’s masterm watchmakers were able to create intricate treetre branches by cutting through pieces of beige gold with a jeweller’s saw, before shaping and engraving the preciouspreciou metal with an imitation bark pattern that gives it its distinctdist realistic form. To add to the charm,char golden guilloche leaves and mother-of-pearlmot flowers were laid upon theth onyx dial, lending a sense of naturalnatur harmony to the majestic MademoiselleMd Privé timepiece – a testament to the everlasting elegance of the house of Chanel.
