It is the core re of our company, from Daniel Swarovski’s day to our current creative director in Paris. What's the synergy between Swarovski and fashion? I think fashion and Swarovski wouldn’t be the same without each other; it’s like a love story. Apart from that, we’re also involved in other events such as the recent Festival de Cannes. You see our crystals everywhere, and that makes a huge difference with allll of the other players as well. Tell us about your Autumn/ WinterWint ’15 5 Winter Garden collection?co This season, we’re very inspired by nature – mixing various elements together according to the theme. However, as we’re very into the versatility and functionality of our pieces, you will find thatth our collection is more than meets the eye.ey TakeT our earring jackets for example, which couldcou also double up as a simple stud. What's the biggest trend right now? Bracelets, definitely. At Swarovski, we try to be a trendsetter to inspire the consumer, and this is certainly true with our current Bangle Mania collection, be it in classic metalsm or leather straps.
WDove Pendant, Swarovski Do you think the Sw Swarovski woman hash evolved? In my opinion, it’s how she uses jewellery. People don’t buy jewellery just because it’s a necklace for one occasion; it’s more multipurpose. Especially for the woman of today. Miranda Kerr has been the face of Swarovski for many years. How would you define the Swarovski woman? M Multi-faceted. She’s a wo working woman, a mother, and many other things that mak make up the modern woman. At Sw Swarovski, we try to reflect that eleme element and be a part of her world by adap adapting our jewelleryery according to her lif lifestyle.estyle. As a man in the je jewellery wellery business, how would you adorn yourself? I love wearing bracelets. It’s a great alternative to a necklace, and it looks great next to a watch. I also like to wear cufflinks to business meetings. How do you think Swarovski has evolved after 128 years? We’ve gone through many different stages of development through the years – from supplying crystals to Christian Dior back in the day, to the inception of our jewellery line in the late 70s, and now our foray into the watch and home accessories businesses.
