It was a season of firsts at Burberry; the heritage brand rocked the fashion world with the unveiling of its “see now, buy now” Autumn/ Winter ’16 collection at its new London venue, Makers House, where decadence echoed throughout. Inspired by Virginia Woolf’s Orlando, bold ruffles, rich prints, and leg-of-mutton sleeves were given new life by creative director Christopher Bailey. Bags stood out in a mix of exotic skins married with fine craftsmanship. One in particular got our hearts racing—the Mini Square Bucket Bag, an amalgamation of textures from snakeskin and plush velvet to stone borders in marbled emerald green.
