Being “Perfect 10” has greatly evolved since the Body Rock ’80s, the Anti-Body ’90s, and the Bodycon Noughties. Today, it’s about Body Dynamics, in this era when art, science, health, holistics, and technology all synergise to create a strong physique that looks and feels good top-to-toe, inside-out. This 360˚ body-mind-soul empowerment is certainly emboldening, complemented by body beautiful styles that eschew the obvious (read: athleisure or aggressive power looks) for a solid silhouette expressed with sensuous lines and creative flair. Just look at how the fashion set wears it (page 47) with that intelligent reveal/conceal narrative: leather bralettes with pencil skirts; 18thcentury lingerie-inspired corset belts; peek-a-boo lace; silk robe suits ... It’s all about celebrating the body in a playful but powerful way. We know that style only makes the surface, for it starts from deep within. I recently reassessed my personal regime with a DNA profile, which completely changed my approach to exercise and nutrition, with optimum results. Begin here— understanding your genetic make-up is essential to customising your needs—and then work your way through the many ways to tone, diet, and treat. #BODYGOALS (page 55) is a fabulous A-Z of great ideas (think turmeric lattes, brain orgasms, and Space Age sneakers), which goes deeper with ‘The Two-Week Body Makeover’ (page 62) of ... okay, let’s get graphic ... fat torching and gut cleansing to achieve the body of your dreams. It’s hard work, but someone’s gotta do it!

The flipside to all of this, is no, not Bella Hadid saying she “needs to eat all the time”, and then lyrics about her ginger shots and sautéed kale for dinner (page 38—some girls have all the luck!). There’s the op-ed ‘Who Do We Think We Are?’ (page 108) that interestingly delves into the “imposter syndrome”—contrary to the widespread “selfie syndrome”. A little inward reflection could just be a good thing in these self-obsessed times, as long as we reach for positive solutions. Once you’ve recalibrated your body-mind-spirit, turn over to our special edition of ‘Watches & Jewels’ for some serious razzle-dazzle, the perfect finishing touch.
